Sisterlocks® Is offered as a 3 visit package:

First Visit: The Consultation

During the Consultation we will discuss your personal hair care history, lifestyle, how to maintain and care for your Sisterlocks® and answer any questions you may have.

Several sample locks will be placed in your hair and you will be asked to shampoo your hair at least twice before your locking session. This will assist me in assessing the correct lock size & pattern, how well the locks will hold, settling-in time, etc.

The Locking Session will then be scheduled for two weeks after the Consultation. A deposit is required to hold your appointment for your locking session and will be applied towards the total cost of the package.

Second Visit: The Locking Session

Please arrive for your Locking Session with hair clean, air-dried, and free from any oils, conditioners, moisturizers or grease. Sessions are scheduled over a 2 to 4 day period, so bring a good book, and lots of patience.I will provide snacks, free Wi-Fi and a comfortable atmosphere.

At the end of your locking session, you will be given a Starter Kit containing Sisterlocks® starter shampoo, rubber bands, and a tip sheet on Grooming and Shampooing as your locks settle in.

Be sure to schedule your follow-up appointment before you leave.

Consistent maintenance is key to gorgeous Sisterlocks® over time.

Third Visit: The Follow-up

The Follow-up visit will be scheduled at the completion of your install. It should be scheduled no more than 3 to 4 weeks after your install. During this visit, I will examine your locks to assess their integrity, retighten them, and give you an estimate as to how long your locks may take to settle. Please Note: If you reschedule the follow-up visit for a late time than initially scheduled, you will be charged a FULL retightening fee. Your complementary retightening will then be scheduled for a later date.

OTHER SERVICES

Retightening Session:

Now that you have made the investment in getting Sisterlocks® you will want to protect it. For the best development of your locks, it is very important to maintain a regular retightening schedule in order to monitor the progress of your locks and maintain new growth.

Retightening Sessions are scheduled every 4 to 6 weeks. Waiting longer may increase time and cost. Periods longer than 12 weeks is priced as an installation.

Grooming Session:

During this session, I will assess each lock individually and trim loose hairs that are escaping the locks, creating a neater more manicured appearance. Grooming is an optional service but is recommended every few years.
